Pot Roast (Crock Pot)

I've been making this pot roast for several years now and I love it every time.  This is so incredibly easy to make.  Anyone can do it.  Seriously, anyone. Even my husband could manage this one.  Plus, there are only 5 ingredients and the crock pot does all the work.

If you've kept up with past posts, you know how much I love my crock pot and any meal that cooks itself while I'm away, and the family is well fed at the end of the day!  Bonus!

Follow along and I'll show how to make this super easy and delicious crock pot-pot roast:

Taco Soup

This soup is easy peazy lemon squeezy!  You can throw it together in minutes and you just let it simmer until dinner time.  Oh, and it tastes fantastic!  This is one of my favorite soups.

Just make sure you have a can opener for this one, cause we really are going easy!  Follow along and I'll show you how to make this taco flavored soup:

Lasagna

When my husband and I first got married I was no pro in the kitchen.  I was desperate to find a recipe that would impress my husband but be easy enough for a beginner cook.  It can be frightening to make something new, using techniques you've never used before, and hope that it turns out right.  Well, this lasagna was one of the first REAL meals I ever made after being married.  Over the years I have tweaked the recipe slightly and I am very proud to introduce you to my go-to comfort lasagna that the whole family will eat!

Beef Bourguignon

Delicious!!!  This has been one of my favorite dishes since the first time I made it, over a year ago.  I altered the recipe from one I found at Allrecipes.com.  This tasty dish cooks slowly in the oven with only red wine as the liquid.

You can step it up a notch and get a fancier wine than the grocery store cooking wine I used, and I'm sure it would be even better!  If you want a bit more liquid, you may need to add more red wine after an hour of cooking or at the beginning if it fits in your baking dish.  I like a thick saucy meat to put over rice or pasta.

The flavor of this dish really is AWESOME!  You can also do half red wine, half beef broth, but I really love the flavor you get with all wine.

Ok, ok, I'll stop typing and get to the recipe already!  I know you're all dying to try this one!  Come on, lets learn how:

Burgundy Stew with Herb Dumplings

Mmm, warm beefy stew cooking up in the crock pot all day? Yes please! This delicious red wine broth really packs some flavor, and the puffy herb dumplings are an awesome topping to complete the meal. For this recipe I used a 7 bone roast (from the quarter of a cow in my freezer) and it worked great, although many cuts of meat can be used. Follow along and learn how to put this beautiful stew together.

Beef Stroganoff (Crock Pot)

Here I am again with the crock pot!  I just can't seem to get enough of it.  It's my best friend during the cold seasons.  Beef stroganoff is a family favorite around here and I LOVE this recipe.  The tomato sauce and cream of mushroom make a smooth creamy base for this beefy dish.  And the flavor is fantastic.  This one only takes 4-5 hours on the low setting of the crock pot to cook, so you don't have to start it early in the morning.  Here's how to make it:

Creamy Tomato Beef Farfalle

I had about a pound of leftover roast beef from making French Dips last night, and I found this recipe, although it called for pork, and decided to give it a try.  It was a very creamy and rich pasta dish that I loved.  It was a great use of my leftover meat and it was quick and easy to put together.  The recipe comes from Betty Crocker, and here's what you'll need:

French Dip Sandwiches - crock pot

So, a few months ago we bought a quarter of a cow and I got all sorts of cuts of steaks and roasts.  One of the roasts I got was a round bone roast.  I decided to use it in this recipe and it worked great!  A round bone roast is not one you'll find every day at the grocery store, but you can use a chuck roast or sirloin roast with this recipe.  My roast was probably between 4 and 5 pounds.  I had to cut it in half just to fit it in the crock pot, but it made some great french dip sandwiches.  I found the recipe on allrecipes.com HERE.  This is what you'll need:
