Chinese Hamburger Hash

If you're looking to use up some ground beef, and perhaps want an easy to make casserole, this dish is for you.  The casserole goes together quickly but allow for the long baking time.  This takes a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes to bake.  The kids and husband gobbled it up and I thought it tasted great for a fall night with a crisp cool air outside.

Chinese Hamburger Hash
1 Pound Ground Beef ($2.50)
1 Medium Onion, Chopped ($0.40)
1 Cup Celery, Sliced ($0.20)
1 Package Frozen Peas, Thawed (about 12 oz) ($1.49)
1 Can Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (10 3/4 oz) ($1.00)
1 Can Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup (10 3/4 oz) ($1.00)
1 Soup Can of Warm Water
1/2 Cup Uncooked White Rice ($0.12)
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce ($0.36)
1/4 tsp Pepper ($0.01)
1 3-ounce Can Chow Mein Noodles ($0.40)

Total Cost to Make $7.48 Makes 6-8 servings

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Brown the meat in a large skillet.
Cook until all the meat is browned, then drain off the excess liquid.
Remove from heat and add the onion, celery, peas and soups.
Rinse out one soup can with warm water and add the water to the mixture.  Mix well.
Stir in the rice...
Soy sauce...
And Pepper.
Turn into a lightly greased 2 1/2 quart casserole dish.  Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes; remove cover and continue baking 30 minutes longer.
Top with crisp noodles and continue baking 15 minutes more.
Serve it up and enjoy!
